Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

The best performers of the session on the were National Bank of Greece (AT:), which rose 13.04% or 0.03 points to trade at 0.26 at the close. Meanwhile, Alpha Bank SA (AT:) added 11.63% or 0.200 points to end at 1.920 and Metka (AT:) was up 11.41% or 0.67 points to 6.54 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:), which fell 7.50% or 0.0120 points to trade at 0.1480 at the close. Iaso (AT:) declined 5.02% or 0.021 points to end at 0.397 and Select Textile (AT:) was down 4.61% or 0.007 points to 0.145.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 72 to 26 and 12 ended unchanged.
Gold for February delivery was up 0.31% or 3.50 to $ 1133.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 1.55% or 0.79 to hit $ 51.69 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract rose 1.70% or 0.92 to trade at $ 54.94 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.16% to 1.0431, while EUR/GBP fell 0.06% to 0.8381.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.16% at 102.99.
