The best performers of the session on the were Marfin Invest (AT:), which rose 9.02% or 0.012 points to trade at 0.145 at the close. Meanwhile, Revoil Petrol (AT:) added 7.69% or 0.025 points to end at 0.350 and Halcor (AT:) was up 3.67% or 0.015 points to 0.424 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Select Textile (AT:), which fell 9.74% or 0.015 points to trade at 0.139 at the close. Iaso (AT:) declined 5.35% or 0.023 points to end at 0.407 and Iktinos Hellas (AT:) was down 4.59% or 0.0390 points to 0.8200.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 47 to 42 and 18 ended unchanged.
Gold for February delivery was down 0.05% or 0.55 to $ 1161.35 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 3.63% or 1.87 to hit $ 53.37 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract rose 3.55% or 1.93 to trade at $ 56.26 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.40% to 1.0598, while EUR/GBP fell 0.37% to 0.8370.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.31% at 101.29.
