Investing.com – Peru stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

The best performers of the session on the were Sider (LM:), which rose 3.03% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.340 at the close. Meanwhile, Credicorp (LM:) added 1.92% or 2.900 points to end at 154.300 and Relapasa (LM:) was up 1.73% or 0.004 points to 0.235 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Inversiones Centenario SAA (LM:), which fell 8.18% or 0.450 points to trade at 5.050 at the close. Trevali Mining (LM:) declined 6.86% or 0.070 points to end at 0.950 and Empresa de Distribucion Electrica de Lima Norte SAA (LM:) was down 3.57% or 0.200 points to 5.400.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 16 to 10 and 9 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 3.80% or 1.79 to $ 45.29 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 3.66% or 1.80 to hit $ 47.41 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.32% or 3.80 to trade at $ 1187.00 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.46% to 3.4013, while EUR/PEN fell 0.10% to 3.6220.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.25% at 100.96.
