Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the gained 0.82% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the were Corticeira Amorim (LS:), which rose 2.01% or 0.161 points to trade at 8.170 at the close. Meanwhile, Galp Energia Nom (LS:) added 1.83% or 0.2550 points to end at 14.1550 and The Navigator Company SA (LS:) was up 1.78% or 0.0570 points to 3.2660 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Mota Engil (LS:), which fell 1.16% or 0.0190 points to trade at 1.6170 at the close. Altri SGPS (LS:) declined 0.41% or 0.0160 points to end at 3.8640 and Sonae Capital (LS:) was down 0.26% or 0.0020 points to 0.7740.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 21 to 14 and 8 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for February delivery was up 0.69% or 0.38 to $ 55.30 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 0.53% or 0.28 to hit $ 53.34 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.81% or 9.25 to trade at $ 1133.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.06% to 1.0396, while EUR/GBP rose 0.35% to 0.8418.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.18% at 103.26.
