Investing.com – United Arab Emirates stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Dubai, the declined 1.11% to hit a new 3-months low, while the index lost 0.63%.

The best performers of the session on the were Takaful Emarat PSC (DU:), which rose 5.43% or 0.120 points to trade at 2.330 at the close. Meanwhile, Amanat Holdings PJSC (DU:) added 0.90% or 0.010 points to end at 1.120 and Emirate Integrated Telecom Co PJSC (DU:) was unchanged 0.00% or 0.000 points to 5.410 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Marka Pjse (DU:), which fell 10.00% or 0.09 points to trade at 0.79 at the close. Gulf General Investments Company (DU:) declined 7.25% or 0.030 points to end at 0.384 and SHUAA Capital PSC (DU:) was down 6.62% or 0.100 points to 1.410.

The top performers on the ADX General were Al Khaleej Investment Co PJSC (AD:) which rose 4.17% to 1.25, Rak Ceramics (AD:) which was up 2.13% to settle at 2.400 and Int Fish Farmi (AD:) which gained 0.63% to close at 1.60.

The worst performers were Rak Cement Co (AD:) which was down 7.14% to 0.780 in late trade, Abu Dhabi National for Building Materials Co PJSC (AD:) which lost 5.45% to settle at 0.520 and Ad Natl Energy (AD:) which was down 3.28% to 0.590 at the close.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Dubai Stock Exchange by 32 to 5 and 4 ended unchanged; on the Abu Dhabi, 14 fell and 5 advanced, while 6 ended unchanged.

Shares in Marka Pjse (DU:) fell to all time lows; down 10.00% or 0.09 to 0.79. Shares in Gulf General Investments Company (DU:) fell to 3-years lows; falling 7.25% or 0.030 to 0.384.

Crude oil for June delivery was up 2.97% or 1.42 to $ 49.26 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 2.85% or 1.45 to hit $ 52.29 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.32% or 3.88 to trade at $ 1231.58 a troy ounce.

USD/AED was up 0.01% to 3.6732, while EUR/AED rose 0.34% to 4.0290.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.29% at 98.76.
