Investing.com – United Arab Emirates stocks were mixed after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher while losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Dubai, the gained 0.18% to hit a new 1-month high, while the index declined 0.16%.

The best performers of the session on the were Marka Pjse (DU:), which rose 14.87% or 0.10 points to trade at 0.78 at the close. Meanwhile, Dubai Islamic Insurance Co. (DU:) added 2.58% or 0.024 points to end at 0.954 and SHUAA Capital PSC (DU:) was up 2.50% or 0.030 points to 1.230 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Amlak Finance PJSC (DU:), which fell 1.72% or 0.020 points to trade at 1.140 at the close. Arabtec Holding PJSC (DU:) declined 1.27% or 0.040 points to end at 3.120 and Takaful House (DU:) was down 0.93% or 0.010 points to 1.060.

The top performers on the ADX General were Ad Natl Ins Co (AD:) which rose 4.05% to 3.850, Rak Cement Co (AD:) which was up 3.90% to settle at 0.800 and Sharjah Islami (AD:) which gained 2.24% to close at 1.370.

The worst performers were Fujairah Cement Industries Co PSC (AD:) which was down 8.70% to 1.050 in late trade, Dana Gas (AD:) which lost 2.41% to settle at 0.810 and Eshraq Properties Co PJSC (AD:) which was down 2.22% to 0.8800 at the close.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Dubai Stock Exchange by 19 to 14 and 4 ended unchanged; on the Abu Dhabi, 11 rose and 9 declined, while 8 ended unchanged.

Shares in Ad Natl Ins Co (AD:) rose to 52-week highs; up 4.05% or 0.150 to 3.850.

Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.67% or 0.32 to $ 47.80 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.28% or 0.15 to hit $ 53.63 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.76% or 10.30 to trade at $ 1340.90 a troy ounce.

USD/AED was up 0.01% to 3.6732, while EUR/AED fell 0.14% to 4.4125.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 91.47.
